I grew up in the Schenectady Stockade and worked summers on a Capital Region moving truck all through school, so I knew the weight of a couch up a narrow old staircase long before I ever ran the office. I started Hanley Moving Company in 2011 with one plain goal: a careful family crew that shows up, quotes one honest flat rate, and treats moving day like it matters — across Schenectady, Albany, Troy, and the towns around them.
Before going out on my own I ran crews for a big Albany van line for years, so I have seen the other side up close — families hit with surprise fees they were never quoted, furniture coming off the truck scratched, and crews that vanish the second the doors close.
